Our bar is the ideal place to relax and unwind after a busy day, offering a wide selection of quality beers and ciders including real ales and a choice of over 15 gins. If you need warming up, grab a seat in front of one of the log burners and choose from our range of freshly brewed coffee’s or tea. We welcome children in the bar area and to keep them entertained (even the big ones) we have pool, darts, dominoes and if the sun is shining outdoor garden games. The bar is also dog friendly ( sorry dogs are not allowed in the guest rooms).

THE STORY SO FAR

Having owned a holiday home on the adjacent caravan park for many years we jumped at the opportunity to take over the reigns of the lodge when it became available. From January 2018 we took on the massive challenge of transforming the run down 17th century hunting lodge into the welcoming and friendly place it is today. Along the way there have been many ups and downs including replacing rotten floors, burying unsightly gas tanks, replacing electrics but through all the challenges our passion to give the Lodge a bright future and once gain be somewhere for locals and visitors to come and have a good time has spurred us on. With a building this old there is always something to do and as we have carried out much of the works ourselves we have picked up a lot of new skills along the way!
